With only a few number of Dance Study series completed and four months of the year gone, there can be moments in which I don't feel like taking the camera with me and photographing non-dance related things. However, I know that the only way my photography is gonna improve is if I get outside and photograph, something, anything.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to hang out/adventure with fellow photographer Ed in order to create and to see what parts of Sunset Park/Bay Ridge I have not yet explored. I've only been that far south in Brooklyn because of friends that live there (and Costco) so any area would be considered unexplored to me, lol. For this adventure, I thought I'd invite my friend Ife to join in the festivities so that I'd have someone to photograph.
Because of the place that Ife works at (teaching young people music), she had her violin with her and at some point during the day Ed and I had an opportunity to photograph her in action. Definitely gave us a great opportunity to capture some awesome portraits.
While I do long for the moment I can photograph dance consistently, I am happy for these moments in which I can create and be free. Who knows, maybe I'll have more adventures like the ones yesterday.
