Today was the third time (ever and this year) that I attended an Instameet ran by the fine folks of Pursuit of Portraits. But today marked the first time that I attended a Worldwide Instameet event! *pops confetti* FINALLY!!! I can now enjoying using the hashtag of #WWIM on the images from today on Instagram, lol. But seriously, it's something that I've wanted to do for the last 2-3 years and finally got to cross it off my list of things to do; and I got to do it with two members of #PHOTOPHIPHO (the photography team I serve in at MVMNT).
This time, Pursuit of Portraits set their sights on Prospect Park; which meant traveling to the meet was minimal and effortless! *cue prayer hands emoji* Which means I now discovered some pretty dope parts of the park I can do Dance Study sessions in.
As usual, regarding Instameets in general, it was a great opportunity to meet other photographers from in, around the city or those who just moved into the city. Shout-out to you Maria from Florida. Photographers with dSLRs, mirrorless camera bodies or medium format cameras (shout-out to those with TLR bodies or Hasselblad bodies), photographers who love shooting portraits, nature or other genres, and photographers who double as models which made capturing portraits a breeze.
While I didn't get the opportunity to photograph much this time around, the images I did get today are some of my favorites from the afternoon's event. Enjoy the bounty of images to follow...
